In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, we have a spectacular guest, David Wood who shares insights about setting the goals for success, building awareness, winning the battle of distractions and productivity, and unlocking elite focus!

David is a high-performance coach, founder of Focus.CEO, helps business owners to double revenue by staying focused, achieving more, and becoming a more extraordinary entrepreneur and human, and author of “Get Paid For Who You Are,” with a foreword by Jack Canfield. He coaches high performing entrepreneurs, executives, and teams – and now prison inmates – to create amazing results and deep connection.

Also, he is a former Consulting Actuary to Fortune 100 companies – including Sony Music, Chanel, and Exxon – David left his cushy Park Avenue job 20 years ago to build the world’s largest coaching business. He became #1 on Google for “life coaching”, serving an audience of 150,000 coaches, and coaching thousands of hours across 12 countries.

David was fascinated by games and systems but realized that there’s another side of life which is the actual game of life. In 25 years, he studied vulnerability, emotional intimacy, and leadership. Now, David’s niche is helping people. Individuals come to him for not just work on money but productivity, and focus.

Focus is really an exciting topic for him. David believes that money is a very important aspect of life but it’s not everything but happiness and fulfillment is. As a coach, he provides the most value for his clients. Guiding not just earning double in their business revenue, but having a human connection and relationships.

Furthermore, David suggests the importance of identifying your short-term and long-term goals. Never forget to do the things that matter to you and in your business. For David, it is maintaining integrity in doing the things you’re passionate about. So, you can feel like a Rockstar at the end of the day.

Put frameworks around your goals to create more awareness, and accountability in order to be extremely productive. Thus, be vigilant and disciplined at the macro level to be super focused. Be more proactive in protecting yourself from distractions. It is setting up an environment for success. Just stay hyper-focused and disciplined, and don’t let focus be taken away from you.

More importantly, never missed having time for yourself to recharge, celebrate, and plan. Give time on focusing on replenishment of your energy and nutrients. Only work when you’re working really well, and then only rest when you’re resting really well.

Finally, in the world of the monkey mind full of distractions, it is necessary to have the courage to face fears and turn them into confidence. Be committed to doing extraordinary things daily. Identify what you are afraid of and name it!
