How can you be sure of anything if you can't even trust your own memory? Our protagonist (Ed Norton) wakes up to find his wife has been killed - but he can't remember anything in the last 24 hours. He needs to follow clues and put together the pieces of what happened to solve her murder before the assailant disappears forever.
