Jeremiah's Place is on a mission to protect children and strengthen families by providing a safe haven of respite, health, renewal, and support for children and families during times of crisis. Jeremiah’s Place strives to serve as a leading voice for child abuse prevention thereby transforming the community into a place that is safe, stable, and loving for all children. Jeremiah’s Place is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 organization which was incorporated in April of 2011. It began with a small group of individuals and has grown to an amazing Board of Directors and a strong volunteer corps named "Jeremiah Serves." Jeremiah’s Place opened its doors on Monday, April 21, 2014 for daytime care from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. After receiving our overnight care license from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW), on May 12, 2014, Jeremiah’s Place expanded its hours of operation to 24/7 to all children ages 6 and under for free, temporary short-term care when families are in crises or experiencing an emergency situation and need safe care for their children. That crisis may be emergency medical care, urgent childcare needs, and care of children at risk for child abuse. I recent had a simply beautiful mom talk with mom, pediatrician and founder of Jeremiah’s Place, Dr. Lynn Williams, about the inspiration behind the nonprofit organization, motherhood, adoption and so much more. Don’t miss a single minute of this chat if you’re in need of a serious dose of inspiration! momtalkdenise.com Twitter: DeniseNLaRosa Facebook: Mom Talk with Denise LaRosa #adoption #crisisnursery #parenting #family #nonprofit #motherhood
