Forty years ago today, April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis. As with the death of John F. Kennedy, many people remember where they were and exactly what they were doing when they first heard the news.

Reporter Philip Graitcer spoke with seniors at the Helene S. Mills Center in Atlanta’s Fourth Ward.
