GROWING A JOYFUL LIFE

Philippians 2:12-18

CULTIVATE A PLEASING DISPOSITION

“…work out your salvation…with fear and trembling” (vs. 12).

“Do everything without complaining or arguing” (vs. 14).

• Are you ready for the challenge of shining like a star?
• Will you do your part?

CREATE A POSITIVE WITNESS

“So that you may become blameless and pure, children of God

without fault in a crooked and depraved generation in which

you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word

of life” (vs. 15-16a).

• Visualize your relationship to Christ.
• Will you make a difference? Be real.

CONCENTRATE ON AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

“But…I am glad and rejoice with all of you, so that you

too should be glad and rejoice with me” (vs. 17a-18).

• Be thankful in all circumstances; not for all

circumstances.

• Remember God’s care and celebrate His goodness.

“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s

will for you in Christ Jesus” (I Thess. 5:18).
