STUCK ON THE ROAD
Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23
A HARD HEART (vs. 4).
- The soil was hard, the seed fell to the wayside and birds ate it. A rightful response, when refused, results in a calloused conscience.
A SHALLOW HEART (vs. 5-6).
- An outward appearance but little inward depth. People who show interest but make no commitment of surrender.
A CROWDED HEART (vs. 7).
- Busyness strangles the Word of God. First rate loyalties to second rate causes.
AN OPEN HEART (vs. 8-9).
- A receptive heart becomes a fruitful life. A receptive heart is good soil for multiplied production for God’s blessings.
