On this weeks episode we invite Madeleine Bennett the current Head of International at Spotify Music, where she coordinates various teams within Spotify’s international division.


After getting a Master of Education degree at Harvard, she worked at various record labels with artists such as Mumford and Sons, Skrillex, and Justin Bieber. She started working at Spotify in 2016, and became the Head of International in 2019.


Madeleine and her team focus on highlighting emerging artists from around the world. They partner with artists and curate thousands of playlists and other user-based content for Spotify users.


After talking with Madeleine, she gave a ton of knowledge on how artists can find their footing on Spotify while cultivating a strong team around them. Here are the key takeaways from our conversation.
