This week, Kelley, Vashitta, and Gabe discuss new Prevention First legislation introduced in the Ohio House by Rep. Nickie Antonio and Rep. Michelle Lepore-Hagan. This bill includes creating comprehensive sexual health and sexually transmitted infection education in schools, providing certain hospital and pregnancy prevention services for victims of sexual assault, and coverage for prescription contraceptive drugs and devices.

In other news, the Campaign for Accountability, a nonpartisan, nonprofit watchdog group focused on public accountability, called on Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine to investigate two crisis pregnancy centers, Elizabeth’s New Life Center and Heartbeat of Toledo, for engaging in deceptive business practices in violation of Ohio’s Consumer Sales Protection Act.
