Today I am joined by Dahlas Fletcher, one of Australia's most respected pregnancy and women's fitness trainers to tackle the subject of how to safely exercise in pregnancy, post-birth and beyond.

Many women may be led to believe that the key to their core and pelvic floor recovery is simply by working on the abdominals, but it's so much more than that. As Dahlas explains, the 'core' is actually anything between your shoulders and hips and there are many factors to consider.

Dahlas takes us through the importance of helping women understand the mechanics of breathing, the action of the diaphragm, the role of the relaxin and how building strength in other areas can also be an important part of core rehabilitation postnatally. Dahlas shares these insights as a fitness professional with over 15 years of experience and having developed two successful online courses The Ultimate Pregnant Core and Post Natal Fabulous, designed specifically for women using evidence-based movement techniques.
