Karma. It's simple. A principle of basic physics, "For every action is an equal and opposite reaction". To put it simply, everything you do causes something else to happen, whether in word or deed. It's a simple, basic aspect of life. You do something, it leads to someone else doing something. You say something, it causes someone else to decide whether or not to say something.
Eventually, even hiding from consequences of your actions won't allow you to avoid your consequences. Just suck it up, allow nature to take its course, accept your responsibility in the matter, be held accountable, and let it go.
That's the only way to process anything, otherwise, the consequences just keep coming. Deal with your shit, and let it go...
