Cold Market Prospecting Script That Works

In today’s episode of the podcast i answer this question received from Rachel:

“Matt, I’m starting to feel like i’m running out of people to talk to about my company. How do you convince cold market prospects to join your team?”

Thanks Rachel for the awesome question!

A quick mindset shift for cold market prospecting in Network Marketing

First off I think it’s important to note that you don’t need to try to “convince” people to join your team. Instead worry about saying less to more people. Network marketing is a numbers game and ultimately you’re looking for the people who are open to talk a look.

Here are two different approaches you can take when cold market prospecting:

The Passive Approach:

It usually takes multiple exposures before someone is ready to buy your products or join your team. Make your main goal of an interaction to set the next interaction.

To do this have a great conversation with the person. Give them compliments etc…

Then at the end of your convo simply say “Wow I loved getting to know you. Let’s stay connected on social!”

Then add each other on Facebook or your favorite social media platform.

From there you can set up another exposure and they’ll have a chance to slowly see more of who you are and get curious about what you’re all about through your social media content.

The Direct Approach:

If you’d like to book an appointment with someone right away and get things moving quickly here is my favorite script to use.

“Hey what do you do for a living?”

“Wow that’s awesome! how long have you been doing that?”

“Wow you must really love it to have been doing it for that long!”

(If someone says no not really or something similar you continue with…)

“Well let me ask you this, do you keep your income options open?”

“I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to get into it right now. But I’m a part of a company that’s exploding right now. We literally can’t bring people on fast enough. You might be a perfect fit. Give me your number real quick and i’ll give you a call in the next couple days and we can sit down and talk more.”

Using this script your whole goal is to schedule your next opportunity to talk with them. Don’t give away more detail than you need to. The point is to be able to let them take a real look with all the details before they decide if it’s for them or not.

Hope this was helpful! If it was go ahead and share it with a team member you think would find benefit!
Matt
