When older individuals develop irreversible and progressive memory and other cognitive changes, needs change over time. Providing a caring and supportive environment requires understanding of current deficits and strengths, anticipating new challenges, and providing a system which can adapt itself to changes in needs. Michelle Webb, Director of Dementia Care Services for Pruitt Health, is responsible for program development, educating, and training of staff at various points in the continuum of care for persons with cognitive impairment. She will share her knowledge and experiences in overseeing and implementing behavioral health programs in a continuum of care setting.
