By Newsbreak Producer, Tashlan Naidoo - As World Heart Day is being celebrated across the globe today, the World heart Federation estimates that heart disease and stroke, is the world's leading cause of death claiming 18.6 million lives each year. Under the theme, 'Use Heart for Every Heart' the aim is to spread awareness about the rising concerns of heart health and cardiovascular diseases and ways to treat and prevent it. The Heart and Stroke Foundation SA says about 225 people die from heart disease and stroke everyday with almost 1 in every 5 deaths caused by heart diseases. Health Promotions manager at the foundation, Dana Govender says that some forms of heart disease can be inherited. As Heart Awareness month draws to a close this September, Govender says a proper diet, exercise and regular health check ups are crucial for good heart health...
