Nick is joined by RTE and Racing TV broadcaster Jane Mangan to discuss the day's national and international racing news. Continuing yesterday's prize money debate among owners and trainers, Nick talks to leading All Weather trainer Mick Appleby, who expresses his dismay at having no knowledge of what his trade body (NTF) was proposing, and owner Jim Walker, who is broadly against the proposed ARC prize money deal. Walker, owner of Gold Cup hero Subjectivist, broke the news that his star could yet make a surprise return to the racecourse if continuing his progress from serious injury. Nick and Jane begin the show by discussing the Irish budget and its implications plus the return of crowds in Ireland. They also consider the rise and rise of Hollie Doyle, talk to BCS CEO Rod Street for a debrief on Champions' Day, and ponder whether Mishriff should run in the Breeders' Cup Classic, aided and abetted by NBC analyst Matt Bernier.
