Last month's surprise AFP raids on the ABC and the home of a newspaper journalist have kick started a big debate about press freedom in Australia. Both the government and Labor appear to agree that some sort of inquiry is needed before any laws are tinkered with but are at odds over exactly what form that inquiry should take.
