I will show you how to buy a Domain name from GoDaddy.com
We will begin.
Well first of all you need to go to the GoDaddy website.
Once your there you need to sign in on the top right hand of the page,
After that you need to go back to the Homepage so click the homepage logo and you will be brought there.
When your there you will see a search bar to search for the Domain name you want. I’m going to search for “Forallthatfollows.com” and click the search Domain button.
The next page shows that the Domain name is available. You can see sometimes if there is more TLDs available with the name you searched, you can also add them to your cart for a discounted price.
Sometimes this is good to do because it protects your Brand.
I’m not going to do this today as I’m not worried about copycats.
After clicking continue to cart you a brought to a page where you can add extras.
You can keep it private so you won’t get spam mail, website builder, email and hosting.
We are not going to buy any of these Add-ons as it adds to the cost of the Domain we are buying. Just continue to cart.
This page is the sales page where you see the Domain you are buying, how many years you want it for and the price.
Buying for two years you get a discounted price for a .com of €17.12 the price is going to be different is other currencies. I’m going to only buy it for 1 year.
If your sure this is the domain you want and how many years you want it or Proceed to the Checkout.
Congratulations this is The last page. You now own the Domain name you bought for a year. Once the year is up you will have to renew.
I will show you how to do this in a future post, also showing you how to build it into a money making WordPress website.
