"Especially when you’re injured, it’s important to listen to what you need and what your body tells you. And if you are putting your weight and aesthetics over your actual injury....I encourage you to take a minute and think about how upsetting it is that we’ve been led to do that. To put our health to the side in order to look smaller or leaner or whatever your goal is. Your health, wellbeing, and how long you’ll live your life absolutely should come first."
-Holly Van Hare, NBR #008
Welcome to Episode 8 of Nut Butter Radio! This week, we're talking all about injuries, FitBit steps, exercising for health & longevity vs. exercising for how you look, rest days, limiting time with people who have unhealthy mentalities around exercise, and why Holly has been kicked off of Uber. How do you deal when you get physically hurt? What happens if you want to exercise on an injured limb? Does it matter if you don't get to 10,000 steps in a day?

Questions answered:
"One thing I have trouble with is developing healthy habits such as exercising on a regular basis and eating foods that make me feel good. I find myself going to the gym and eating healthy (in moderation - love me some brownies) for a few weeks to months, and then I completely ditch it and don't see the gym for months and eat takeout and just generally eat "unhealthy" foods. The problem I see with this is that I feel awful when I do this - sluggish, depressed, unmotivated. And, I feel great when I am going to the gym and making home cooked meals. I know this sounds a lot like "falling off the wagon" but it really isn't, I never stress myself out about eating too much or restricting certain foods. I'm just wondering how I can maintain my healthy habits that I love and make me feel good?"
