Arden Young joins me on LustCast to discuss her groundbreaking work, the "PornHub Tapes," an undercover exposé conducted by Sound Investigations into Aylo, the new parent company of PornHub. In 2020, PornHub faced a massive scandal, leading Visa & Mastercard to sever ties over concerns of illegal content such as revenge porn and sex trafficking. Since then, the company claims to have cleaned up its act, changed ownership, and introduced stricter policies. However, Arden's undercover work reveals a different story. She found that not only does illegal content continue to circulate on the site, but senior executives are aware of these issues and are still profiting from them. Her findings suggest that little has actually changed at PornHub. Our conversation dives deeper into this, exploring the broader implications for the porn industry and also touching on the ethical considerations of undercover journalism.
