PART 1 - Many law enforcement professionals feel their service to their community is a calling - for Melissa she came from a family tradition of law enforcement. Steve loved to help those in need and served with the heart of the good Samaritan. Yet both suffered tremendous stress that took a toll on their mental and physical health - almost to the brink of death for both. Because of the stigma associated with asking for help and especially the fear around a PTSD diagnosis, many police officers suffer in silence. Hear how God brought these long-time friends and partners back together to author a book that provides hope in healing and reminds us that we are never alone in our suffering, especially when we realize that Jesus’s suffering at the Cross was for each and every one of us.
