Dave Evans knows a little bit about leadership. He spent 22 years in the United States Air Force as a command pilot, with over 3400 hours and 1,000 hours of combat and combat support. He was involved with Operation Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Desert Fox, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Noble Eagle, and counter-narco terrorism operations. He commanded the largest combat AWACS unit in the Middle East, and his career culminated as the Deputy Operations Group Commander of the 552d Training Squadron and 963 Expeditionary Air Control Squadron.
After retiring from the U.S.A.F., Dave entered the business realm in Oklahoma City, with a focus in the energy sector. He served as Executive Vice President of Oceans N.G. and he has worked with Oklahoma’s State Legislature to develop governing rules for CNG stations across the state. Dave now leads Evans Consulting Group and is a leadership consultant, speaker, and host of The Bold Leadership Podcast.
Dave joins OKC Show host Jason Baffrey to discuss the entrepreneurship boom in Oklahoma City, the importance of mentorship in business, how young people today aren’t as lazy as we’re led to believe, and why Oklahoma City is one of the best cities in the country to start a business.
