One World in a New World with Jeff Cohen - Author of Count-On-Able: A Practical Guide to Lift, Shift and Empower You and Your Team

With over 20 years as an Entrepreneur, Management Consultant & Business Coach Jeff is a highly effective business and turnaround strategist. He shares his father was the greatest influence in sharing the notion that he could do anything that he wanted. He didn't care what, only that he and his sister had the awareness of being able to do anything.

What would have changed in your life with that kind of permission and support?

Jeff shares he's had a lot of failures and successes, yet finds the ability to be vulnerable in his openness to being asked any questions. Nothing is off-limits. Are you able to do that? Why or why not?

What kinds of triggers do we have, or do you have? How did you find them and what disturbances have they caused in your life? Jeff and Zen experienced divorce and estrangement from their children for a time because of their own processes. Jeff shares what it was like to build a software company from 0 to 15 employees in a couple of years. The story is fascinating and shocking.

What kind of connotation does 'accountable' have in your mind? Is it negative or positive? How do we promote accountability without the negative side of the perception? Jeff offers some solutions that have come from decades of achievements, failures and learning how to facilitate people, places and things to work together better.

When you are onboarding, how do you create effective representations of accountability, expectations, responsibilities and performance? He recognizes those things do change over time and will need conversations to re-define the latter appropriately.

The DISC assessment comes up in conversation and the value it has for determining the communication and problem-solving preferences; matching employees and managers with the most compatibility and complementary indicators. He shares more insights, which you'll find valuable.

Our conversation moves into the notion of 'agile' business development, which is Jeff's forte and his wisdom for the present and future business development deserves your attention. You won't get that from these show notes. Please, dive in and explore the opportunity to garner knowledge.
