How Sugar Affects Your Body

Optim-us4Life host Scott Lee Kunkel gets you moving, fueling, resting & centered

Welcome to Optim-us4Life! Thank you for listening.

In this episode I will discuss what we mean when we use the word "sugar" and what sugar actually does to your body.

When we use the word "sugar" we are talking about added sugar. We will go over fruit and the sugar found there. We will look at carbohydrates and their relationship to sugar and fat.

The only positive impact that sugar has on the body is a short energy spike. Beyond that sugar has multiple negative effects on the body. The negative effects of sugar include fat accumulation and hypertension (pre-diabetes) to name a few.

Sit back and enjoy the show!
