Today we talk to James Lamb, a British independent watchmaker who has taken a decidedly (and deliberately) old-school approach to his debut Origin series. While it's easy to be wowed by the four enamel dials (each inspired by one of the four elements), take a minute to appreciate the amount of skill and care that goes into handcrafting each case from a bar of Argentium silver — from the lathe-work to the soldering and the final polishing, all of it is 100 per cent Lamb.

Beyond the watch itself, we find out how Lamb went about creating his watch and went against the grain of feeling the need to polish every screw and bridge, instead focusing his skill and effort on the details that really make his watches stand out. Before all that, Andy and Felix accidentally chat about a bunch of blue watches from Blancpain, Tudor and Nomos.

This episode is brought to you by NOMOS Glashütte. Today we chat about the Nomos Club Sport neomatik 42 date blue, an all-terrain Club on a brand new bracelet. Check it out here.
