On this episode of Pages and Pause Screen, Lulu and Ally take a look at City of Ghosts by JH Moncrieff, who was kind enough to provide them with complimentary copies of her novel to review and discuss. Exotic backdrop, a main character that finally isn’t white, and the promise of something spooky (with hints of conspiracy!) all make for an interesting read! Lulu is shocked by the reveal, but a sticky situation disappoints. Ally wanted more, but was also left wondering about chapstick…
Lulu gives it between 2.5 and 3 stars, Ally a solid 3.5
