Richard Ford is a bassist who has played with some of the biggest names in the Rock Music world. He’s spent the last decade or so scoring films. In 2018 he released an EP, and now he’s released the follow up album Basso Profundissimo 2. This is instrumental music that offers listeners a journey within their own psyche. There is one song with lyrics on the album, originally recorded by Blue Nile, Richard’s version of Soon will move you.

Richard’s creativity is central to his life, and he offers it with humor and gravity, both. In conversation with Baruch, Richard shares how he composes, and gives an explanation of how to score a film.

Like many introverts he’s spent much of the Covid lockdown time on creative projects.
