Miss Gabe Barry is the Education Manager of Europe for the Brooklyn Brewery and has been building community through beer education since 2008. As a Certified Cicerone ® she has spent the last decade working within the craft beer & food world creating multi-sensory programs for many facets of the industry from bartenders & distributors to drinkers and enthusiasts. In 2013 Miss Gabe joined the Brooklyn Brewery team and has since worked in a multitude of different roles continuing to fuel her passion for building bridges of education. Since 2015 she has spent much of her time traveling around the world for Brooklyn teaching and speaking at festivals such as Good Beer Week (Australia), Olut Expo (Finland), Planet Biere (France), and Craft Beer Rising (UK).

Miss Gabe advocates for the power of the non-traditional classroom and using beer as a tool for social change. She believes strongly in emphasising visibility, mentorship and “kicking down doors” for individuals and communities who may not see themselves represented in the current craft beer industry.

Some of the amazing groups and associations that Gabe works with and advocates for include The Queer Brewing Project, The Pink Boots Society, NYC Women in Beer , and International Womens Collaboration Brew Day. Gabe also works with the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative through Brooklyn Brewery’s Stonewall Inn IPA, which will be launched in Europe soon!
