Today on Path to Me Podcast, Sarah and Sara have an open conversation about Sarah's path through grief after the loss of her partner.

  1. Sarah discusses how journalling provided a way for her to remember her journey through the fog of time that she lost to grief. Sarah also discusses how those journal entries have allowed her to see how far she has come because some days it feels like the journey is just beginning.
  2. Sarah shares how she scoured the internet looking for a guide to know that one day life with a loss would be easier but all she could find was textbook answers that told her what phase she should be in, which was not comforting. She hopes that is sharing her journey through this grief she can help others move through their own experience and know that whatever they are experiencing is normal. But also that it does get a little better over time.
  3. She discusses how having a friend to lean on and hold her accountable through the process was pivotal and encourages others that may not have a friend they can be open with to invest in therapy.

Meet Sarah Ozmond! Sarah is an Ontario-based, recently published author in a dynamic collaboration with several inspiring women. In She is Strong and Free III, Sarah shares her story of grief and discovery around the loss of her partner almost 5 years ago. When she is not busy pouring maple syrup on something or dancing in her kitchen, Sarah focuses on writing or having honest conversations with people on a similar journey.
