Pensacola Little Theatre “Acting Up” Education Program Description:

Pensacola Little Theatre’s Education Department provides training and guidance to help performers, designers, directors and technicians of all ages create magic on the stage. We offer classes for students from pre-k to adult. Coupled with our ambitious production schedule of more than 15 shows a year, we give artists ample opportunity to develop, practice and hone the skills needed to present a professional and polished theatrical production.

The primary purpose of the Education Program is to provide both young people and adults with opportunities to explore and develop their interests and lay a solid foundation in all aspects of theatre arts. Through classes, plays and workshops, students learn in a hands-on environment. Classes and workshops promote self confidence, communication, creativity and service, as well as giving students the necessary skills to grow as artists, actors, technicians and people. Our mission is for each person in our program to find his or her voice and sense of play in a non-competitive atmosphere.

Jennifer began acting 15 years ago and has not stopped pursuing a career in the arts since. Her extensive acting experience has made her a sought after talent in the panhandle.

She recently added ” playwright” to her resume’ when she wrote a comedic one act play which already been performed in local theaters as well as out of state venues.

Her film background began with small local TV and radio commercials which have developed into featured roles in several short films. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production from the University of West Florida. Since graduation Jennifer has appeared in the film ” The New Year” which won several awards, including the official selection of the 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival.
