Today’s show gets off to a goofy start, but soon enough we rein it in and talk about the new publisher AHOY comics, and how they promise “more from comics.” Our panel today discuss whether or not we want more from comics – such as prose and poetry. We also discuss Rob Salkowitz’s recent column regarding the sustainability of the glut of middlebrow comics.

This leads us into a discussion regarding comic burnout, or as we term it our “comics mid-life crisis.” What do we do when we just can’t read comics anymore. Tell us about your burnout at perfectboundpodcast@gmail.com.
