William has been working in education for 25 years: 12 years as a teacher and 13 as an administrator. He is the 2012 Oklahoma Vice Principal of the year and is currently the Principal at high school in Oklahoma. He also is currently the Executive Director of OASSP/OMLEA.

He is the author Principal Matters (Updated & Expanded): The Motivation, Action, Courage and Teamwork Needed for School Leaders and recently published his second book: Messaging Matters: How School Leaders Can Inspire Teachers, Motivate Students, and Reach Communities.
