Those with a brain cancer diagnosis quickly run out of options. Survival rates haven't risen in decades, and a new FDA-approved therapy hasn't been introduced in as long. Brain cancer has long been underfunded, compared with other cancers and relative to the number of new cases, deaths, and years of life lost. To answer this unmet need, Dr. Sanai has pioneered a phase 0 clinical trial approach for research and drug development. We hear about how tides are changing for the better with this experimental approach.
