We are the founders of the Plant-Based DFW organization designed to teach and empower people about the benefits of lifestyle medicine. Dr. Riz is a board-certified vascular surgeon and is board-certified in lifestyle medicine. Maya is an advocate of plant-based nutrition and is passionate about helping others live their best life. Every week we will feature guests who are either physicians, dietitians, health coaches, or chefs who will tell us about their journeys towards becoming plant-based and how they have now helped others. Every now and then we will feature testimonies by individuals who have seen significant changes in their own lives. The episodes typically run between 40-50 minutes and are released early in the week. Sometimes we will also add bonus episodes in Spanish if our guests are bilingual.
