Are you restless in your relationship with God?

How sure are we of moral convictions? What are our convictions based upon?

Conviction by the Holy Spirit confirms our belief. Belief is needed to hear God’s voice. Obedience to God’s Word is needed to enter the Father’s rest.

It is impossible to know the ways of God without knowing the Word of God.

Responses to God’s Word are either condemnation or conviction. Condemnation is disobedience to God’s Word leading to hardness of heart. Conviction is obeying God’s Word leading to God’s rest.

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

How do we find help in our battle of conviction?

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:14-16)

(1) No one but JESUS has been sent from heaven and left heaven to rescue us. (2) No one but JESUS has become like us to relate to us and save us. (3) No one but JESUS has experienced our weakness yet lived sinless. (4) No one but JESUS has died for our sins and made a way to heaven for us. (5) No one but JESUS offers us free access to God’s throne. (6) No one but JESUS offers mercy and grace in our battle with sin.

His story of persecution for sharing the Gospel in China is amazing, and he is much like the “Whack a Mole” game, popping back up again to share Jesus.
