Last month we had the immense pleasure of talking with the incredibly thoughtful and endearing S. Holden Jaffe of the band Del Water Gap as he walks us through some of the tracks off his new record “Don’t Get Dark” which released two weeks ago and honestly, we still can’t get enough. We get to know him a bit more as we chat about his first experience at SXSW in Houston early March, his social experiment, the first song he ever wrote called “Clean and Simple”, and the reality of the loneliness and struggles that sometimes come with being a musician. We recap his latest local tour, dive into some of the stories behind his previous music, and swap some book and band recommendations. Meg almost immediately mis-pronounces his last name after just asking how to pronounce it and says “awesome” about three-thousand times. Which is accurate. Holden is awesome.

Make sure to check out "Don't Get Dark" wherever you get your music!

Follow Del Water Gap on Twitter and Instagram @delwatergap to keep up with all the latest music releases and future tours.

And check out the published written review of the new record that our wonderful Meg did on our webpage at podbean.com!
