This is a fascinating look into the Powerhouses of the body - called Mitochondria.

Mitochondria are responsible for producing energy in our cells. And when the body’s energy production is diminished, cell function is negatively impacted.

Our bodies need a consistent source of energy to perform optimally, and if that’s not happening disease and other health related issues can arise over time.

Everything from ADHD and obesity, to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s and other degenerative diseases are linked to low mitochondrial function.

Even more troubling is that commonly prescribed medication including anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, cholesterol, and statin drugs are primary sources of the decline. Yet not all mitochondrial issues are severe, and simple forgetfulness can be one indicator that your cells are suffering from lack of energy.

Join us for this episode where we discuss how to age optimally by increasing mitochondrial function, reduce the risk of disease, and even remember where you parked your car!!

In this episode:

  • What are mitochondria, and why should we care?
  • What does mitochondria have to do with optimal aging?
  • Do we have to age?
  • What is CoQ10?
  • What's happening with commonly prescribed medication that could be making us sick?
  • How to improve mitochondrial function to increase energy production in the body and slow down the aging process
  • ...and much much more!

List of Supplements for Mitochondria Repair

  • ALA
