Speaker: Joe Hobot, Ed.D.
Sunday, March 3, 2019

Generational poverty has affected the urban Native community for decades, and Dr. Hobot sees a need for dramatically different approaches to education to serve this and other marginalized communities. We are pleased to welcome back Dr. Hobot for part 2 of his examination of the Twin Cities American Indian community. He is a descendant of the Hunk Papa Band of the Lakota Nation and is the President of the American Indian OIC, where he previously held the positions of lead teacher and director of education.
