Scars from childhood can take on many forms. Often the scars are not visable until adulthood. Yet the scars can affect how one view the world as well as themself. We know that there is no such thing as a perfect parent. Many individuals also parent the way they were parented. And lets not forget those that try to do the total opposite of their parents. While specific circumstancs will vary. The roots can be deep. There may be situations were one may have been un-or-underparented. Others may have had parents that may have been abusive, or emotionally, mentally unavailable. Blaming another for how one feels does not help the situation. Ones feelings are valid however, If ones parent changes or perhaps are no longer alive what is one to do to heal from their childhood scars. Join Jeanette Abney and others as we discuss this topic. The goal is not to blame ones parents. It is to take steps to heal and become a better person as an effort to stop the pain, develop healthy relationships, and recover from one childhood scars.
