Jennifer Janvier's friend, an experienced mushroom grower, offered her some mushrooms during the pandemic. Jenny took a large dose and interacted with a younger version of herself. Jenny's inner child told her she could do whatever she wanted in life. That experience set in motion a period of shadow work for Jenny in which she navigated through a number of difficult experiences from her childhood. Eventually, Jenny tried ketamine treatments for depression and found that those experiences also surfaced childhood trauma. In one ketamine experience, Jenny time-traveled back to a difficult memory from her youth and spoke with her father, who transformed into a child himself and conversed with her.

I'd love to hear about your psychedelic experiences, but you're welcome to call in and just say hi. You're also welcome to use a pseudonym. You'll receive an email notification once I've had a chance to listen and respond. Make sure to keep an eye on your junk mail just in case my response isn't delivered to your inbox. I'm testing this feature out for the first time and I'm not certain how many callers we'll get, so I ask for your patience as I work through the messages I've received. Thank you for listening to Psychedelic Stories. I look forward to hearing your story!
