Ryan Kent Jr. was at the post race press conference after Race 2 at Mid-Ohio for the Mazda Road to Indy Cooper Tire Indy Lights. We've got audio from the entire podium starting with Spencer Pigot, then Max Chilton, and finally Sean Rayhall.

Spencer Pigot had a good points finish for Race 2 with his two championship contenders, Jack Harvey and Ed Jones, making contact and finishing down in the pack. Pigot admitted that the race didn't look like it was going to go his way as he was starting back in the pack with used tires. His strategy was to stay fast and stay out of trouble.

"Yea, great weekend for us, really. Now we're closing in on points. I think it's a winner take all situation when we get to Mazda Raceway."

On the Mazda Road to Indy ladder series, Spencer Pigot mentioned that he not only think the ladder system is doing well, but he has benefited from it as well. It's speculated that we'll see him in a Penske car as early as 2016 in the Verizon INDYCAR Series.

Max Chilton talks about his race. The momentum he's been experiencing since his win two weeks ago at Iowa Speedway. Despite this being his first time at the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Chilton said that he liked the track as it had similar features to those tracks he's raced in Europe. He save boost so he could use it all near the end of the race and it seemed to pay off for his second place finish.

"I love this track. It reminds me of where I started off in British circuits like Oulton Park."

Race winner Sean Rayhall earned his second win of the season in the 8 Star Motorsports Mazda powered IL-15. Rayhall was behind in practice as they had a paddle shifter problem. He mentioned that they felt like they were half a practice behind for the weekend.

"I've driven four or five cars since I've driven the Indy Lights car last. So it's hard to jump right in."

Rayhall was able to turn a sub-par weekend fantastic when he took advantage of Jack Harvey and Ed Jones making contact in the middle of the second race. He mentioned that 8 Star Motorsports could put together a championship charge.

The Indy Lights season has not come to a close yet. The final two rounds will be hosted by Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca September 10 - 13. With Spencer Pigot only six points back from Jack Harvey, we're in for quite the championship showdown in a months time.
