I’ve been working on a disco mix using rare, camp/gay and psychedelic disco for the last few months, originally called Disco Sickness but it mushroomed into a two-part mix. Here’s the first part, an uptempo celebration of Pride month (it’s London Pride today, so yes it’s rather late!) and also the U.S. same-sex marriage Supreme Court decision.
Some rare Carrere disco, Italo-disco and Hi-NRG, some camp gems inc one Duckie favourite (I’m going to Border Control tonight, which the latest version of Gay Shame) and parts of gay history (including the work of a certain Goblin member *fnar* as Easy Going) some modern disco, covers and some naughty steals and the originals where people stole from!
And the first song I learned a dance to (Just An Illusion)…
