Talk presented Fri, May 16, 2003 at the Urban Youth Workers Institute Conference 2003.
This is part of the personal quest behind my latest book, A Theology as Big as The City. My city, Chicago, exlpoded and most of the white established church fled in response. Unfortunately, my bible school, Christian College and highly esteemed semianry education had not prepared me for this. Come join me as I explore the question of, ‘What text, themes and stories shaped my serach for a theology that can take on the urbanization of the planet earth?’
