Today we invite you to join us on a 10-day challenge: 100% completion of six simple things designed to prime your day for success! We’ll be starting this challenge ourselves on Thursday, but don’t let it stop you if you’re hearing this a day, a week, or even years later!

This episode goes into detail about the challenge, why we created it, and the intended purpose of each step. Below is a simplified breakdown.


  1. Start your day with gratitude. Write down five things you’re grateful for and post them. Tag @RealBusinessOwners and use #PrimeYourDay so we can see it!
  2. Exercise. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, just walk, run, or hit the gym for 45 minutes. Get that first win out of the way!
  3. Take a cold shower. There are so many benefits to this including increased alertness, improved circulation, and reduced stress!
  4. Listen to a podcast. Put good shit in your head!! Listen to something that will motivate or challenge you for 30 minutes. Consider doing this while you exercise to kill two birds with one stone!
  5. Eat a healthy breakfast. We’re leaving it up to you to define “healthy,” but be honest with yourself.
  6. Compliment someone. It feels good, keeps things positive, and costs you nothing. If you don’t have an opportunity before work, just make sure and take care of it in the AM!
