Just over a month ago, a scathing report was released confirming that top health officials knew for years about a pedophile pediatrician sexually abusing Native American boys at at least two Indian Heath Service hospitals. Though many of his co workers reported their fears about him to their superiors, Stanley Patrick Weber was allowed to practice for almost 20 years, abusing untold numbers of young indigenous boys — some as young as eight years old — before his conviction in 2020. One witness who was finally called to testify in the trial, Nurse David Marsh, is our guest today. David talks to us about what it was like at the dysfunctional Pine Ridge Hospital in South Dakota with Weber. This IHS hospital which is supposed to serve the tribal community, may still be harboring other predators who are still practicing today.
