We chat with Sarah Hill (@SarahMidMO), CEO & Chief Storyteller of StoryUP Studios (@StoryUpStudios), about their focus on immersive content that aims to lift people up. Sarah views virtual reality through the concept of story as a verb-- one that can provide hope, affect change and shift brain wave patterns. Through StoryUP’s work helping veterans via the Honor Everywhere program which empowers World War II veterans who are unable to travel to virtually visit their memorials in Washington, D.C., they noticed a marked physical and emotional change in people during and after a VR journey. These observations led to partnering with neuroscientists to measure brain states with EEGs during VR experiences, pursuing frameworks to guide the development of media as alternative forms of therapy, and backing it all up with quantitative data - http://www.story-up.com/
