13th August 2017 PM - Preacher: Jim de Witte - Bible Passage: Exodus 12:43-13:16 - The Passover was an annual freedom festival; a reminder of the way that the Lord had brought his people out of Egypt, out of slavery. Through it they would recall God's great work of salvation. At the same time the feast pointed forward to the coming of Christ, detailing a pattern for the salvation God would accomplish through Christ's life, death and resurrection. So, as we celebrate the Lord's Supper this evening, everything we know about this celebration we can glean from the Passover. The Passover has such a deep rich spiritual meaning and so the Lord sets out in detail how it was to be properly celebrated so as to give the full picture of salvation. As we look at the details in these verses we will be drawn into the beauty of the Passover, but also the Lord's Supper. Join us in that journey.
