Message: FEAR NOT, GOD IS…

FEAR FACTS:

  1. Fear is HUMAN.
  2. Fear is LIFE IMPACTING.
  3. Fear is NOT OF GOD.

(2 Timothy 1:7)(KJV) For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

FEAR NOT:

  1. God is YOUR GOD.

(Isaiah 41:13)(NIV) For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

(Psalm 118:28)(NLT) You are my God, and I will praise you! You are my God, and I will exalt you!

  1. God is YOUR FOREVER FRIEND.

(Deuteronomy 31:6)(NIV) Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

(Psalm 23:4)(NIV) Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

(Joshua 1:9)(NIV) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

(Matthew 28:18-20)(NLT) Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

(Romans 8:38-39)(NLT) 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  1. God is YOUR STRENGTH.

(Philippians 4:13)(NLT) For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

(Isaiah 41:10)(NLT) Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

(Isaiah 40:28-31)(NIV) 28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

(Isaiah 46:4)(NIV)Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

  1. God is YOUR DEFENDER.

(Psalm 27:1)(NAS) …Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?

(Hebrews 13:6)(NLT) So we can say with confidence, "The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?"

(Psalm 18:1-3)(GNT) 1 How I love you, Lord! You are my defender.

2 The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe. 3 I call to the Lord, and he saves me from my enemies. Praise the Lord!

(Romans 8:31)(NLT) What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

  1. God is YOUR PROVIDER.

(Philippians 4:19)(NIV) And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

(Matthew 6:31-32)(NLT) 31“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

(Luke 12:24)(NLT)Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!

(Matthew 7:11)(NIV)If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

  1. God is YOUR REDEEMER.

(Isaiah 43:1-3)(ESV) ….“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. 2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. 3For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

(2 Corinthians 5:17)(NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

(1 Peter 1:18-20)(NIV) 18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

  1. God is YOUR REFUGE .

(Psalm 46:1-2)(NLT) “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. 2So we will not fear….”

(Psalm 91:1-2)(NLT) 1Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him.

(Psalm 34:4)(NIV) I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
