We interview filmmaker Dr Mary Zounazi about her current documentary-in-progress, 'Rembetika Blues', which details the story of Greece's rebetika music. We discuss rebetika's role in keeping alive the memories of migration, drawing together diasporic populations, as well as its relevance to current waves of migration and forced displacement such as those of Syrian refugees arriving in Greece.
