About Patricia:
Life is an interesting journey; one never knows what lies ahead.
Newly divorced, I (Patricia) was raising my only child Anthony. While visiting Graham his childhood best friend, Anthony passed over instantly along with three teenagers in an automobile crash.
Descending into an abyss that fateful day; life as I knew it no longer existed. Just as Anthony experienced a death/rebirth – so did I. Anthony’s passing was the catalyst for my conscious spiritual journey. Unaware that my soul had shrunk for many years, my sacred core enabled me to survive the most horrific experience of my life. My awareness expanded as I struggled to keep my heart open.
A friend suggested I receive Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) treatments. Reiki is a type of energy healing. The Reiki sessions were amazing. I felt myself relax and release discordant emotions while feeling its loving energy work on me.
While attending a conference, a fellow conferee recommended that I learn Reiki for myself. She explained that self-treatments would assist me on my journey of healing (wholeness). I received First and Second Degree Reiki in 2000. The self treatments really help keep my heart open, assisting me in loving myself and others.
Reiki’s divine love assisted me in keeping my heart open while dealing with Anthony’s passing. I received Shinpiden (Master) training in 2001. I am very honoured and grateful for this precious gift bestowed upon me.
I began taking courses through Atlantic University with my dear friend Karen. Through a mentor, I learned of a course called Meet Yourself at Mullingstorp Health and Education Centre in Sweden. Later that year I returned to assist in the Meet Yourself course and through my roommate, met my husband Dominic whose son Joshua, had recently passed in an automobile car crash. Dominic took Reiki training with my teacher and became a Reiki Master (Shinpiden). We then moved to Vero Beach to be near his parents and opened our shop The Inspired Heart in downtown Vero Beach.
I took my second Reiki Master class from William Rand, the founder of The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) and then Karuna Reiki® Master course with William Rand, Laurelle Gaia, and Michael Baird.
Next I took Gendai Reiki-Ho Master class with Hiroshi Doi. Doi-Sensei is a member of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai (the Japanese Reiki society founded by Mikao Usui) and created a Reiki system based on eastern and western Reiki. Being with Doi-Sensei and Hyakuten-Sensei was truly a gift for me. After taking a Reiki pilgrimage to Japan, I took Doi Sensei’s Gendai Reiki Ho Gokukaiden (Master) course again and also took Hyakuten Sensei’s Komyo Reiki Kai Shinpiden (Master) course.
I am an International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) Licensed Reiki Shihan/Teacher and teach Usui Reiki I, II, ART, Holy Fire Master (Shinpiden), and Karuna Reiki® Master classes through the Center. Reiki continues to be a sacred gift for us.
