In this episode Kim interviews colleague and fellow therapist Julie Clockston who provides detailed insight into what emotional abuse is and how to recognize it. They talk about specific signs to be aware of that one might not otherwise consider to be emotional abuse. You might be surprised at some of the behaviors that are considered emotionally abusive. The discussion goes deep as they talk about the differences between psychological abuse and emotional abuse, and explain in detail terms like "love bombing", "flying monkeys" and "gas lighting", which are all behaviors that are red flags signaling emotional abuse in a relationship.
