The Relatively Speaking Podcast is back with the fury of 1,000 suns and with more vengeance than Bruce Willis after getting divorced a few times over (and having killed hundreds of evil-doers). Today's episode of the podcast is a straight flame emoji to the cranium, as Jared and Joseph have plenty to talk about. On Friday, it starts with the entire Boston Red Sox-Baltimore Orioles and unwritten rules of baseball debacle. Manny Machado took (AUDIBLE GASP) 30 seconds to job around the bases after hitting a homer on Thursday evening. People are #madonline over this, as this apparently shows up an entire team -- which, uh, tried to hit him in the head with a baseball five times. Anyway, this sparks a much larger conversation about baseball's unwritten rules not only being more outdated than wearing clothes from The Gap, but how MLB is the only sport that allows its players to govern themselves. Also, you know, how a baseball is considered an "okay enough" weapon when throwing at a person's head, but heaven forbid you take a slow jog! Speaking of fun optics, the NBA had a near donnybrook on Thursday evening after a big guy from Boston screened a slightly less big guy from Washington. Aftermath hot-takes inside this here podcast! Woj to ESPN. AMA's as so random this week that our editing team had to delete roughly eight minutes of hot-takes from the episode due to poor taste. However, after the bad look was over, Jared and Joseph discuss the heartwarming story of a family releasing its mom and pop startup on Thursday called Big Baller Brand.
